TE450 subframe and airbox
« on: September 19, 2015, 03:53:25 pm »
I finally stripped the subframe off my 2006 TE450 that I crashed in early July. I knew it was bent, but not by how much! It is bent in all 3 dimensions. So much so that the airbox is trashed too. I'm not sure if I'll be able to straighten it sufficiently and if the strength of the straightened aluminium will still be good enough.

Now I face the prospect of trying to locate and import the parts. Any advice?

Buy a whole bike; and take what you need and keep the rest for next time something breaks. There are plenty of these bikes for sale for giveaway prices.
