Wanted: Speedo Drive Gearbox and Dellorto PHM40 Floats
« on: April 25, 2016, 11:17:31 am »
Hi all,

I recently bought a 2000 TE610 and need a replacement speedometer drive gearbox (the one on the front hub) and float/s for the Dellorto PHM40 carb.
Anyone have these lying around or know where I can get, preferably in Jhb?

Thanks

Check with Kykdaar if he has any parts lying around. :thumleft:

Thanks Chopperpilot. Will get hold of Kykdaar.

Yup, got that one off WD classifieds. Needs work but should be lekker once I'm finished with it.

There's always a bit of TLC on a 2nd hand bike.

Part of the fun to get it sorted.

I sold my '99 DR 650 SE for R 30k. No TLC required.

I reckon you therefore made a good buy, considering the excellent suspension, large fuel tank and comfy seat.

Agreed, the suspension, seat, 6th gear and longer wheelbase sold me on the TE. I did a trip down to Swaziland on the DR recently and due to some bad planning (actually had too much fun in Swaziland and didn't want to leave), we had to do a solid highway run all the way back to Jhb into a headwind and it was no fun at all.

Here are pics of the bike when I got it and now. I'm giving it a through once over before I start riding it.

I also started on my 610 TE yesterday. ;)

Have not progressed as far as you though. :-[

Main aim is to get the sub frame sorted. Need to fix the battery bracket, as well as the sub frame ends. They appear to slightly bent. :(

They will be straightened and gussets added. :thumleft:

If you are going to order any parts, please let me know. Need one or two small items. ;)

I gave up looking and ordered these from the Husky agents  :-[ Pricing was steep but on par with my KTM.
