Africa Twin 2018
« on: November 07, 2017, 07:45:44 am »
lyk asof Honda geluister het na die mark - die 2018 version kom met 'n klomp goeie upgrades :

- groter tenk
- beter ground clearance (maar laer seat?)
- flat seat
- crash bars standard
- decent sump guard - laat my die aan die rd03 / rd04 s'n
- beter windscreen
- beter suspension
- ride by wire throttle
- beter traction & extra ride modes
- hrc colour scheme

laat my altyd wonder hoekom hulle nie van die begin af al die dinge bygesit het nie - marketing plan?

waneer die outjie ge release word dink ek nie daar sal baie wees wat kan kers vas hou nie - wat dink julle?

I see they are expecting it to be USD 2,000 more expensive than the standard version, which, by the time it gets here could mean R30 grand more than the current version. Worth it?

They are also going to map that auto so that you can pull away in 2nd in sand with traction control off..

This bike is going to be the benchmark for adventure bikes

I see they have changed the foot peg attachment from the cast aluminum item to a all steel item - that's a good improvement in my opinion .
I wonder if some of the upgrades will be able to be used on the previous model  ?

- groter tenk                                                          Great!
- beter ground clearance (maar laer seat?)          Beter gc! Great!  Laer seat....ummm.
- crash bars standard
- decent sump guard - laat my die aan die rd03 / rd04 s'n
- beter windscreen                                                 'n HoŽr screen sal werk vir die langer garde, veral teen hoŽ spoed en as dit verstelbaar is.
- beter suspension                                                 Wat is beter? Langer travel? Beter damping en rebound? Die standaard een was vir my klaar goed. ;D
- ride by wire throttle                                              Hoekom is dit 'n verbetering?
- beter traction & extra ride modes
- hrc colour scheme

Ek hou bitter baie van die huidige een, ek sou net 'n groter tenk verkies, oja en heated grips en tjoeplis tyres. ::)
Eet vleis! 'n 1 000 000 jakkalse kan nie verkeerd wees nie.

Just a few more improvements and it will almost be on par with a KTM 950.

Yeah like going on a lekker diet.

Bike looks awesome, and definitely better now. I am just disappointed to not see tubeless rims.

This bike truly look outstanding. Just about all the upgrades are proper and pretty much what clients are always upgrading anyway and for me I appreciate that the back doesn't have that clunky hand rail thingy that the current one has. It's very much like the ingenuity of the RD03 but will undoubtedly be waaaay better.

I'll seriously consider going into lots of debt for this bike when it arrives.
