Anyone come across a comparative spec sheet for 10/11/12/90?
1190R becoming affordable now for cash buys.
What do you want to know? They're basically identical but for a few small details:
125hp 1090
150hp 1190
160hp 1290
The 1090 doesn't have tyre pressure monitoring or a side stand as stock (that the 1190 does have). Normal indicators instead of 1190 LEDs as well. DOES have updated suspension compared to the 1190s. It also has stronger rims than the 1190s from 13-15 (2016s had the stronger rims and a intermediate update on the rear shock)
1290 has EVERYTHING (all the same updates as the 1090) as well as the TFT dash, bluetooth integration with your phone. Cruise control. lean sensing headlight etc.
Option to add quick shift, hill hold control and ASR (kind of an electronic slipped clutch....but it already has a mechanical slipper clutch so why??)
nice summary
1190 vs 1090
1190 also had the oil temp sensor and a 12V socket
Not side stand, 1090 does not have centre stand, both have side stand
the 1090 is 12lb lighter, half of that is weight in the engine (lighter flywheel), other half is the centre stand.
All doesn't matter though, those non LED indicators look crap, even my 2008 GS had LED indicators.
the 1290 lean sensing headlight is not on the R models. Nice feature that.
Somewhere they got self-cancelling indicators also, don't know when.
Maybe someone here knows about the 790 rims. I thought its the same, the Akronts?
The initial shitty 1190 rim was a Saxxes until KTM swopped to Akront in 2016, a lot stronger.
