I did a job at a house down beachside today.

The owner has a couple of beautiful machines.

All original, he started them for me, they start and run perfectly. We chatted bikes for a long time...

I got wood looking and lusting at them  :peepwall:  :imaposer:

The little blue one doesn't even live in the garage, it lives in the lounge  :deal:  :ricky:

and no, they are not for sale  :(

I actually owned an Elsinore many years ago.....not one of Hondas greatest achievements. Very pretty bike....the chicks loved it, but I traded it in on a Four hundred Four Super Sport....now that was a machine.

The Motorsport series where flipping awesome. Those bikes were unbreakable...totally bullet proof. I had a mate who had an SL 125 and we tried very hard to kill this thing ...we never succeed.  It just kept on going . They dont make em like this any more.

This brings back so many memories.
I also had a XL 250, exactly the same as this one, XR 500 R and then a XL 650 R.
All bought brand new from Papa's Honda in Windhoek in the 70 and 80's.

Moes hulle NOOIT verkoop het nie. :'( :'(

I once rode an XL250 absolutely wide open with a pillion for 110km's highway to suddenly end at a red robot in a city.... where it obediently ticked over, idling dead happy as if it did so daily.
