Afraid not. Only opens when the ports open apparently . Work that one out.

A mate lives right there. In fact the road goes through his farm and he has to drive a massive loop to get across .

National road so they cannot close it for farmers farming both sides of the river. It would be very weird if it's closed.

It seems it is closed :( :(

Can some @moderators please ban @WildWood  for implying that logic is relevant when it comes to lockdown? Spreading rumours like this will cause Wilddogs to get sued by the ????

Just checked with my buddy. Will be opened when slipways are opened.

I know of a certain political party that should be slapped with a ban.

Ek het by 'n ou gehoor wat 'n huis daar het, dat die pont uitgetrek was, maar nie hoog genoeg nie, en toe die rivier afgekom het na die reën, die pont gefloud het, hoorsê
Nuwe een sekerlik nog nie in werking nie

Sal nie verbaas wees as die ou pont "per ongeluk" laat wegspoel is nie, om die "bewaringsbewustes" te ontglip en die nuwe pont te installeer.

Die ou een. Die groot geel gedrog staan ook daar, maar nog sonder enjins wat ek kon sien.

Hopefully some good news.

I heard today they were going to float the pont on Monday and if all is ok it will start operating again.

I'll post if I get news

Looks like it’s all going tits up.

It’s not happening yet and local rumors are the new pont also has issues and maybe only operating by year end.

Thank you for your trouble. I feel sorry for the hotel and surrounding businesses. IMHO it is still worth the trip anyway! :thumleft: :thumleft:
