Bliksem, my house just rumbled hecticly, apparently a 6.2mag quake 10km off the coast, ran outside to check if it was Koeberg or Sasol, didn't hear a double percussion so figured it was a quake but still moer scary.
Looks close to Marion Island
Quite strange to hear that only Capies felt it when considering its origin shown on the map, surely the whole southern cape should have experienced it, surely us on the west cost are in an indirect sheltered path, maybe it has to to with terraforma consistency i.e. we're on solid rock the same as the fault line but maybe there's a sandy cushion between POI and the southern +'eastern coast.
