Hanse Kop, Western Cape

Hi Dogs.  Has anyone been up Hanse Kop in the Western Cape on a motorbike?  Can you get near to the top on the tar road (I know it is not possible to go all the way because the top is full of aerials).
The local police kindly guided me to the safer access via the track opposite the entrance to Steenbras Dam on the N2 ~500m east of the top of Sir Lowry’s Pass.  I only get a km or so along that track as it was very wet and puddled and I couldn’t see how deep or rocky the water pools were, so I'll try it again when its a bit drier and with company in case I get stuck.  The mapped route on teh internet (dangerousRoads.com) takes you from central Grabouw through the expanding squatter camp - not for me!  Cheers, ChrisD

You go right to the actual top on the tar road.

There is a locked boomgate at the bottom, but you can wriggle a bike past there, just not a Boxer BMW.

We have a tower ontop, there is a locked gate at the bottom like Danie says but I wouldn't chance it, the owner/manager is seriously grumpy.
It's the end of the road as we know it and I feel fine.
