Awesome pics michnus. 

Something we rock climbers call 'exposure' is when you climb a 500m cliff with a huge open space all around you. Makes a grade 17 feel like a 25.  I get the same feeling of extreme tiny-ness when cruzing at 160 down a road like this.  You feel absolutely inferior to the earth.

here are a couple that I took

I don't know if Verneukpan qualifies as a great plain. The pans are on a great plain though

can you identify all the pics?
