Race Registrations.
« on: September 08, 2009, 06:29:54 pm »
I have been out of the loop for a while.  Can one still do once off registrations for particular races or is this now not acceptable anymore.
When I did a couple of races in the early 2000's we could choose the 3 best races in your region and enter on a one day license.
I suppose this is not possible anymore.

One has to take out a minimum of a Club Licence and have to belong to a club as well.

Apart from a special arrangement with Full Throttle, they do "day licenses" at their specific events at specific venues on the E-rand.

All other races you need a club license at minimum.

I am assuming club license varies from club to club.  Once you are registered with a club, are you automatically registered with MSA?

If not, what is the annual fee to be part of MSA?

Nope, You need to join a club, and then register with MSA in the relevent class.
not sure about fees

Alcohol is essentially nature’s Leatt Brace – with it, you might not be able to move worth sh*t, but you can take a slam or two and be no worse for the wear.

The Club's have different fees, depending on the type of bikes supported, most of the Off Road and Enduro Clubs have pretty reasonable fees to join. The MX ones need the extra money for facility upkeep usually.
On average prepping a MX track can be in the order of 20 Grand! To just keep in shape can be a few grand a month... diesel and labour is not cheap...  :deal:
I miss the days when MX riders would pitch with spades and rakes... sigh. :pot:

Can joining a club and registring for 2010 only be done in the new year?

That is how it usually works.
