Stunning pics!

Mother, is it you bike in the photos?  What tyres did you use?  I see two helmets. Did you have a pillion and how was it in that sand?

thanks.....love Namibia been going there for years....first time in 88.....
ride mostly 2 up last 7 years
Namibian roads are generally in good condition as they scrape the roads regularly for the tourists who visit in cars
it  can get a bit sandy here and there...but a fair knowledge of sand riding should do...no panic if you hit a patch and you will be fine
i highly recommend Namibia for dual purpose riders
it is a stunning place

oh... i ride a beemer and use TKC tyres....personally think anything that can do fair distance will do.... as the places are far apart
and because the roads are often graded it does not necessary have to be hard core knobblies

note....these are entirely my views from my experiences

Thanks,  this is a trip I very much want to do with the GSA and pillion.
What time of the year do you recommend?  Is May already too cold?

winter is the best .....yes its a bit nippy in the early morning and night....but the day time riding with all the kit is then the best

Summer is fine just know that it's moer hot.
The biggest problem over Dec IMO is the roads are graded less regularly and some of the major routes gets very corrugated with high middelmanne and excessive gravel on the sides.
However, if I can do Namibia in December with a pillion on my Tiger I'm pretty sure you can too!  ;D

One from me - I can do this all day
