Day two.
Merweville has one of the most beautiful churches in the Karoo.

The touring party …

We had an unplanned day ahead of us. Only some idea of general direction and a desire for as much Karoo scenery as possible. We left town on the road towards Beaufort-West.

Crossed over the Fraserburg tar road.

The Oudekloof junction.

Start of Oudekloof.

CG having fun, fun, fun!

Stopped for some appreciation …

Heading up Oudekloof. If you haven't seen this bit, put it on your bucketlist.

Fuel stop in Fraserburg. Agter die ko-operasie, meneer. Die vulstasie is nog toe.

Stopped at the Kliphuis for some refreshment and to plan our next direction.

Tough day in Africa.

We decided that North was our thing. So Williston it will be.

Full battle dress.

Aaah. This is what I came for. How can people call this boring?

In Williston.
From time-to-time the big girl also needs some fuel. Have your credit manager on speedial, though!

“Where to now? Lots of sunlight left in the day. Let’s stick with North!”
Heading towards Brandvlei. My favourite picture of this trip.

CG riding like a pro. She handled my silly plans with ease and for someone on her second trip only … I was very impressed.

Fueling up in Brandvlei with a quick celebratory dop in the Windpomp Bar.

On the way to Loeriesfontein. Our stopover for the night.

By this time I started riding slower and slower. Not wanting this fantastic day to end.
Me …

Boesmanland. Ai …. dis mooi. Ja, en die bike ôk!

We arrived in Loeries tired but happy. Again the only people in the hotel!
We met Hinksding, had some hammies and waaay too much brannas.
What a day!
