Two adults for three nights... dinner, bed and breakfast:patch:
$100 per person per night.
You pay that "bed and breakfast" for run-of-the-mill motels in the USA,
and you only get coffee, grits and a muffin.  :-\

R755 pppn, breakfast and dinner included.  Don't think its all that bad.

Or are you just trying to get us jealous because you are actually going to be there?   :pot:    Enjoy!   :thumleft:

On the quote is states:

"Rate Includes:
...
Welcome Cocktail, Breakfast Inclusive, Dinner Inclusive"

If it wasn't included I would also say its leaning towards the more "luxurious" side of the pricing equilibrium.

I stayed in both the Lesotho, and Maseru Sun before during the roof period. Breakfast and Supper is included. Remember they are usually one of the main sponsors of the event, so they have to make a bit somewhere. I don't think the price is to bad!

Hey Peet, hoekom gaan bly julle nie in een van die vele gastehuise in Lesotho nie. Jy het mos al by Thaba Bosio gebly.
Hulle is mos baie goedkoper as die Sun hotelle.

Ek dink 'n ou moet baie vroegtydig bespreem aangesien die aanvraag so groot is.

doing the mountain madalas ride next month and staying at Maseru Sun - same sort of rate - R710 per night all inclusive. It is a bit top heavy but not the end of the world.

I wouldn't pay that here in SA coz I use B&Bs and cheaper hotels - I think I paid about R500 pppn at the Himeville Arms last year, not sure if dinner was included or not.

Remember, the roof is an international event now, so you gonna pay

Cracker, if you wanna save a lot of money then consider staying in a B&B in Lesotho. I can give you a few names if you like.

Geeze at R700 a night that is quite reasonable in my opinion.

I have just paid U$ 300 for a night in New York. No Extras at all!

I think that you will have a blast up there!

Great, Losper, that could help a lot. There's a few of us going to the madalas ride who'll need accomodation. I don't know where the ride is nut assume it must be close to Maseru Sun, coz they're offering us a 'special' rate to stay there. If you know of any B&Bs close by that'll help a lot.

Cracker, looks like the Madalas is going to start in Sefikeng which is about 40km east of Maseru.

Mmelesi lodge      16km from Sefikeng tar road        http://www.mmelesi.co.ls/                          mmelesilodge@ilesotho.com
Khotsong lodge      same area as Mmlesi lodge        http://khotsonglodge.com/contacts/          info@khotsonglodge.com
Trading post Roma   36km from Sefikeng, tar road    http://www.tradingpost.co.za/                  tradingpost@leo.co.ls
Molengoane lodge    44km from Sefikeng, tar road    http://www.molengoane-kapitseng.co.ls/index2.htm      TEL: (+266) 22347766
You can get dinner and breakfast from these lodges, just pre arrange.

Best would be to get your accomodation as soon as possible, there are around 150 riders going to the Madalas and everyone is looking for accomodation.
There are more lodges:    http://visitlesotho.travel/travel/Home.aspx
Consider using Peka bridge borderpost about 24km south of Ficksburg, much much faster than Maseru .They are open from 08h00 to 16h00

If you guys are forum members on e-dirt you can have a look there as well for Roof accomodation, they have done a group booking at a lodge.

About R1400 for 4 nights and breakfast, no dinner.

That is where I'll be... :ricky:
Live like someone left the gate open.
