I am looking forward to see some more ride reports from Mean469 on this explorer which is better than magazines hyped up crap.
Vis Arend has giving us awesome reports on his ST1200 and I'm sure Mean469 will do the same and the keyboard jockeys will know the strengths and weaknesses of the explorer. :thumleft:

thanks Drazil !
will be happy to send you a video clip or 10 of th eriverbeds we ride and the trail terrain...
its not ALL highway ha ha...got some nice loose rocky sections too.

thanks Jacques ! I'll take the compliment ....
its nice to be appreciated...
some of you might now who i am by now... i see the Transporter got it !!

So you have one confirmed fan........the Transporter!! :imaposer:
Look, maybe you are a good rider, maybe not, but the pictures you posted of your Explorer in "deep" sand, well that's not deep sand, so please excuse us saying so.
Please do not take offence though, I have taken a lot of flak for doing exactly what was done on here, that is pointing out that things have to be kept real. Truth is that bikes like the Explorer, GS800, 950/990 KTM's will always be terrible in sand.
Hi 2-strokedan..
please no offense but if you read the heading topic it says "thick sand" not DEEP sand...
I never expressed.....that i was going to attempt to ride a cruiseliner into a plaas dam!

Vraag is of ons regtig belangstel in wie jy is :imaposer:
Slaat my met n nat waslap asb :bootyshake:
ha ha.. thats funny cause i was thinking the same about you !
Now i see why the guys i talk to dont want to post anymore, its just a bitch slapping match ALL THE TIME !!
Very Mature site... All i wanted to do was express how nice the triumph was on its 1st outride into new territory (read my 1st post again ) and the 1st reply i get is sarcasm ... NICE GUYS !!!
really making the ADV crowd very welcome on this forum
thanks to those who actually mailed back with constructive critisism and questions !
to the others....GROW UP !
Half of the fun on the WD forum is the banter.  Even the older farts can mock around and have some fun. Don't take the usual comments too seriously, it's nothing else than bar talk. But if you got a serious problem, even the most sarcastic okes on this site will help you  :3some:
Why did you post the pics with thick sand, which are clearly taken before the Explorer was even launched? I don't get this  ???

Onse oulike liefie Hentie was die eerste dealer toe hy nog by BMW was wat ons om die bos wou lei met die tipe post.

En kyk nou net hoe stunning awesome hy uit gedraai het, almal like hom, self Stoetie en ETS

But you added them later on after people pulled the piss with you on the thick sand, and you posted as a weekend ride not a UAE trip.

Kom nou meneer  ;)

Hey Mean469 - speak bietjie with Paul there about when he's calling me to collect that Explorer for a weekend...?
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.
