Simple might be OK, but just remeber point4:

4. Trick is to link the logo with d/s riding

Eeerrr, sorry Wes, but that sticker looks like the poor dog stepped in a thorn and now must do with a Band-Aid.

With all due respect, I think we've got a helluva long way to go before this happens.

I'm not gonna try any additions myselft as I am computerly challenged and barely cope with posting. My contributions will be verbal suggestions from now on.
Why is everybody making suggestions of round stickers?
parallelogram shape sticker might be nice. a cup of tea is nice.
(maybe some of you have posted non-round stickers - apologies as I can't view all image hosting sites)

Here goes: Ignore red background (unless you ride a red KLR O0)

It's simple and easily recognisable.

Maybe we saw it differently:

When we started 2 thing were NB (still is) - d/s biking and promoting SA, so we choose as a symbol the WD to symbolise what SA is about and what d/s riding is about (freedom, running in packs, exploring distant expanses, can't be contained, etc) - so hence the WD - a symbol, not a direct interpretation like a helmet, wheel, spoke, etc

On the logo can written (as on top) WD Adv Riding - which says it all, and in a way make the connection??

H

PS - Jacko check the title - Its WD Adv Riding like at the top of the page and the web address is .za.net

Here are two samples I quickly compiled using the same base as origin.   These two images need a bit of additional "cleaning up" in the shadows, etc, but the idea is there.
My 2c i like this sticker because it relates to biking, just a paw without anything bike might create confusion to the outsiders. The sticker will be advertising aswell, so it needs to get the message accross.
Freedom just another word for nothing left to lose.

remember:
if you want to be noticed with emblems and badges,
HOG is a whole dept dedicated to that.
BUT
without trying to F^^K about unessesarily,
I also want a dinkum WD sticker,
but lets keep it simple and understated.
ultimately,  it's so we can recognise each other,  and not prove to others.

peace
