The web address is still wrong  ;D
I used to be indecisive, but I'm not so sure anymore

:)

I like the simplicity. (My vote is still with LGF's one for colour though).

The black and white one of Jacko is cool (apart from the address still being 'The wrong way round'...

Having said that, if I had the option of having place on my bike for a rectangular sticker (like the topbox) , this would be it:

The paw would be reflective...

Agree on the rectangular one. only I will prefer not have the 'shadow' paws in the background.  IMO it makes the
sticker cluttered and more difficult to read at a 1st glance.  The black and white one ... sorry, I just do not like to twist my head when reading something, horizontal lettering please!

Too much info!

Look at the logo top left of the screen, just the paw, with the webadress on the paw.  NO MORE!  And make the sticker so that its just the paw, no background - oh shit man, I don't know all these terms.....kom julle designers, ek wil nie groot klompe stickers op my bike hê nie, net 'n subtiele pootjie!

FFS, die sticker kom op 'n DS bike, niemand wil weet ons is "adventure riders" ens nie, hulle kan dit sien!  Niemand gaan ons mistake met 'n veerpyltjiespan of onderwaterhokkieklub nie!

Just a Q.

Why do we need the web address? Google is everybodies friend today. So there will be more space for the paw and the name.

i disagree, we do need the web address... how many people see a name, and then google it out of interest? not many. remember if they see the paw, the name, on a DS bike, they still don't know exactly what's going down, hence web address

sorry i tend to get a little overly-passionate about this stuff, being what i do for a living and all  :-\

Like I said, I'm no designer, but then do it something like:

www.wilddog.za.net

And what I meant by no background, is like when you have the little "fingers" and nails as a separate sticker....ag fok, help my met die terme!

Ama - if I search "wild dog rider" I still don't have a link to this forum on page 3 of Google's results.

If I search "wilddog rider" I get a link on Wikipedia (but that points to the old forum address):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_KLR650
Apart from that I also have nothing for the 1st 3 pages.

When I type in "wilddog adventure rider" as the search I get hits on page one...

I think it is necessary to have the url in.

First of all - many thanxes for the input.

seems like:

1. We use the paw without the dog
2. Keep it simple
3. ITO - fonts - can we try to use the existing fonts
4. The www address is crucial to the brand - like www.klr650.net
5. Two minds about colours - either b&W (jacko) or simple 'logo' earthy colours - 2 colours max?
6. Round seems popular
7. We shall make it with a transparent AND either white or 'logo earthy' colour
8. Maybe in 2 sizes - one about license disk size???  Other eating plate size?

Could we narrow the designs down to these criteria - else we shall run in circles ad infinito

Again thanx - its nice when things become so logical and clear with you guy's inputs.

Although the brand may belong to us as the site owners - its more important that people like and can associate with it.  I do however fear that we can't satisfy everyone with this kind of thing.

BTW, how do you find the quality to be of the old sticker - mine sticks like a tick and doesn't seem to fade.  Who made them again - I think LS or Adv'er will know?

Kilroy, I 100% agree with all your points, except the size.

I found (when I printed those for my own use) that license disk size was too big to properly fit it on the fairing in front, so I sized it down a little.

Maybe it is just me, but I won't know (or want to know) what to do with an eating plate sized sticker...

:D

I agree that maybe just use the existing logo.... "if it works... don't fix it"

A suggestion for the designers in the family....  Keep the PAW as a dark print... but run a set of tracks in the negative colour through the PAW ???

Maybe...
