On top of Sani, my friend Koos and I on our aborted attempt to be the first bikers to scale Southern Africa's highest peak, Thaba Ntleyana. Koos on his DT360, my faithfull CB350. June, 1975.

Early start from Himeville, two up fully loaded...a bit hairy in places but otherwise a pretty quick run to the top. From there to Katse Lodge via Thaba Tseka, arrived at about 5pm.

Hi, went up this past Saturday (unfortunately not on my bike this time), looked as it normally does, which is ungraded and patches of loose stone / rock. Two corners were iced up but will most likely not be by end Aug. Lots of bikes at the top on Sat...mainly smaller plastics but a good few larger dual purpose as well.
