Sorry to hear FC, glad it was not worse, tank slappers can be pretty nasty. Take it easy and do the physio after the mending, all the best  :3some:

My side of the story.......
FC was keen to get some saddle time but on the Saturday the weather did not play along. We decided to do a few dirt tracks before the get-together at N7 1-stop.

1) Decisions, decisions.....
2) Dimwit on the rear of the 990 taking a dim view of the road  :P
3) Lovely morning  ;D

Oh, and those were only the straight bits.....

So we were about 8 (?)  bikes that did the Kalbaskraal tar road and went onto the Malmesbury / Moorreesburg dirt road.

Treacherous roads...

A few km after the Riebeeck Kasteel turn-off the shit hit the fan..... I was about 50m behind her when she started snaking.
I estimate our speed to have been 70 - 75 km/h.
There was a (smallish) rut parralel to our direction of travel....... it definitely played a role.

Even on her first swing I new she wasn't going to make it, and it got worse from there. Quickly  :o
Scary thing is, on a surface that slippery you don't scrub off speed. As the magnitude of the oscillations grew, it seemed like she was going faster!!!

Excluding my parked bike, this is the sight that greeted me  :o

I think it was on the third swing that she high-sided spectacularly.
Hit the ground hard and started rolling rapidly....... the bike barely missed her  ::)
I was shitting myself...... the manner in which she went down...... ::) ::)
Quite soon I determined that the injuries were not life-threating, and proceeded to take these pics before rescuing her from the ditch   ;D

Heal up soon FC!!!  :ricky:

This first pic shows where the high-side occured:
