Things like this can happen very quickly.

Strongs and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Somebody mentioned that torn ligaments is a quick healing process.
Not so. Takes a long time. I hope yours heal quickly though :thumleft:
I hate mud. It is the one road condition for which I have a complete mental block.
Give me sand or gravel but no mud O0

Well not quite right.

Sounds as though she lost her AC ligament(s) [acromioclavicular ligament(s)]

Ligaments do not heal, as in, 'grow back'. But the shoulder comes right fairly quickly, though you'll need some rehab if not going in for corrective surgery.

Haven't had my left AC ligaments since 2006, and my shoulder is doing well. MY doc (Orthopedic surgeon) had me take the sling off the next morning already, told me the shoulder must be as mobile as possible, as there is no harm, ligaments are gone. This happened on a Thursday, I was riding my bike again by the following Monday.

I've got a slightly funny looking shoulder now though, and I will always have the option to surgically repair, but my doc said I should wait until I have grown tired of all the rough and tumble shit (rugby, biking etc.). Guess I'll just live with it.

Good luck FC. Recover quick  :thumleft:

yup, i lost my ac ligament.... snapped clean off... on x-ray ypou can see the collarbone and a big black gap where the ligament used to be....

was wondering how it will grow back... thanks for clearing that up.

body super sore today, but all good...

thanks everyone.

Hope you get well soon. As the guys said get some decent medical advice. Also stuck with a floating colorbone. It is classified as a dislocation or a separation, not much can be done it some cases but it helps to get to the right person (doctor)  fairly early to prevent any longterm problems.

Impressive picks, I think that they can be used to tell people how a tank slapper looks like. Also shows what is important when you have riding buddies, take pictures.
