I've been playing around with my Stealthcamping tent to improve it.
I took a lot of advice from the ADV rider guys and the way they operate, as well as some tips here sent via PM from fellow WD's
So here is what I came up with.
1. The two person Stealth Camper tent with breathable material and ventilation mesh. Shown here on my 1200GSA matt black, with two helmets in the foot area.
2. A view from the front to show the width. Headspace 1400wide, footspace 1100mm wide. 2500mm long. Entire tent and pegs weighs in at 800grams. :biggrin:
3. The Water repelent Flysheet pulled over. You only need to do this step when you expect rain, mist or dew. Otherwise, you don't need to follow these steps. You can also add a groundsheet outside the zipper side of the tent to prevent getting grass/dust inside. I use my USA military issue space blanket as a outside groundsheet.
4. My super lightweight Tarp setup. Made from the same rainproof materials as the tent's flysheet, setup with 2 x 1800mm Aluminium poles. It took us quite a while to configure the shape and cuts to get to this final design, but I am quite happy with the end result. The tarp setup over the tent will allow me to pack up my tent and kit in heavy rains without getting soaked. It also acts as a shade/shelter against sunlight and give me a cooking area should it be raining while camping.
tThe whole setup weighs in at under 2kg's and it includes all the groundpegs. I finally got a setup I like. :thumleft:
