VORTEX ECU

Installed my new ECU this week.  Before you start to spend money and tanks and stuff, do this.  Makes the 690 feel like a XR650R, only much faster and lighter.

How much did you pay for the ECU. I've heard many good thing on the Vortex compared to the stock ECU!

Honda Varadero
KTM 690 SMC
'90 KDX200
'83 XT500 (never should've sold) :(
MBX50 (the first one!)

R6700 and then about R1100 VAT and handling.  Everything exchange rate dependent.  I ordered direct from Australia.  You can also order from KTMTwins, works out about the same.

Hi Guys,

I am still pretty new to Wild Dogs. I just got a new 2012 690 R, and I bought it because I liked it the way it is, but know I read all this stuff about ECU's to make the bike better. What is the difference between the stock version and one with the ECU. Also, whats all the hype about Acropovic pipes, besides making the bike sound better?

Regards

Drew
