I have two issues with the current Husky's;
1) Their current generation of dirtbikes are long in the tooth and the BMW based 450/511 needs lots of work to catch up with the rest. This is understandable seeing as Husky had to develop a competitive 450 based on the not-so-successful BMW 450 platform.
I suspect that they might have something at least a bit competitive in the
MX scene in 3 years time. At the moment, in comparison to the KX450F for instance, it under steers, it's under sprung and under powered.. thats a lot to get right!
2)Their middle weight DS bikes are disappointing to say the least. Yes I'm comparing them to the 610 which was their best.
It's just that I get nostalgic/concerned when seeing what the 610 is being replaced with and what they are trying to accomplish in the MX scene with that BMW450.. while Husky had the perfect platform to continue their R&D on

Look at
Husaberg for instance; they were bought by KTM 12 years ago and by 2013 they are pretty much nonexistent. Totally absorbed by KTM as the 70deg motor will not be produced and we will simply be getting blue KTM's, marketed as 'Bergs.
It sounds like emotional drivel I know, but every time I ride my rare 550 'Berg, I'm being reminded of this unfortunate truth.
