I took my sons 230 around Zone 7 on the weekend.. these bikes are a jol and I am a fat bastard topping 93kg, besides bottoming out the suspension on a few jumps it was cool.. I dunno about long trips though, the top speed just isn't there, how are you dealing with this? are you changing the sprockets?

Very lekker bikes, I wouldn't mind seeing one with the long range tank on.
Hi Fuzzy.... yes I changed the gearing, and can get about 110 -115 kph before what I think is redline... The bike happily cruises at 90kph on tar... I'm happy with that, 'cos after all... its used as a trailie!(It's not a 450!) I'll have to check what the sprockets are and let you know. Will take pics when I fit the tank! :thumleft:

Tommy, i suspect you you probably went from a 13 front to a 14 with standard rear?
That is what i did on mine with very similar results

Yes , put a 14 on the front, and dropped the rear to 42.

Eish.... Forgot about this topic I posted years ago....
I still have this bike and still gives me lots of pleasure.
Been doing plenty trail riding in the Kzn Midlands,  and will do Bezuidenhouts pass on new years day...
Bullet proof little bikes these  :laughing4: :thumleft:
