Were you the only XR?
Whens the next one?

No we were outgunned by Doc and his KLR gang  ;D
I would like to take some of the Dogs on a shorter morning ride at the Mine Dumps one Sunday morning. That is alot of fun...also in the South.

And we ended off with a nice little river crossing...after this we all got seperated or lost and I hope all parties got home safe and sound.

Again thanks for the morning lads, always good to spend a day in the dust, mud and dirt on the back of a bike hey...

that's exactly where i took a dive with my 950 in the Kliprivier. going slow i hit a uneven section of the concrete, stalled and fell in the hole the washed away concrete left. Needless to say i had to fetch the trailer to get back home.

watch out for that last section, about half of the bridge is washed away to the right of the picture.

the other day i lost it again because of the snot on the concrete.
KLR650Fegen - A big thumbs up :thumleft: for organising the ride, I had great time, as I think everyone else did.

We were fortunate this time, we had a spotter who had watched two MX bikes go across before we got there. We knew to stick to the down river side of the bridge and all made it safely across.

Thanks for a lekkker ride guys... Grantis and I enjoyed it immensely on the NXR125 and CRF230.... first time out on the little bikes, and had a really good time.
Nice to meet Volroom, and my old mate Richard Gladwin. These two rode their old bikes like demons, from what we could see!
I think Old Brown Sherry should be supplied in plastic bottles, cos it could get eina if you have an off there Doc.! :ricky:

Looks like it was an awesome ride.
Did anyone manage to save the route on a GPS?

Thanks a stack to Fegen and Halfdaft for an awesome day out and to all the others who made it a really great day. After the lekker brekkie at the Cafe du Cirque we made our way to the Hideaway - one of Docs off the beaten tracks pub in the middle of nowhere and then on to Johnny Walkers pub in Walkerville where we parked our lekker dirty and muddy KLR's in amongst all the shiny road bikes that were there.
A couple of beers later I left and made my home along deep South road and then thought what the heck... let me cross the veld the way we had come in the morning.... so dirt all the way back from Walkerville. Nice!!
Thanks again Mitch and Richard.

You up for a kyk weer this Sunday?
NO NO NO NO NO!

NOT THIS SUNDAY!

I am playing paintball!
So, barring anything major I can go again the following Sunday.
Maybe I should go from the Blockhouse to Val along the railway line for breakfast this Sunday and we do the koppies the following Sunday. Any takers for either ride?

Geez, don't act like I am not even here.
I think I should get my team to camp out on the ride and have a good old fashioned ambush.
