At 8am this morning five riders congregated at the Total garage at Birkenhead Drive, situated along the West Coast Road (R27) near Melkbosstrand. Our purpose: to head to Altantis and to revel in the challenges and delights of riding in the dunes.
For one rider, the Altantis dunes would be experienced for the first time; for two others, the second time. For all, the excitement was palpable.
Capeklr, Freerad, Eish and Doug C rode KLR650s and Gareth a Tiger 800XC.
What an outing it proved to be! Three hours, in a remarkable setting, on a superb day. Learning, exploring and having a good workout. And at the end, an added bonus: drinks and lunch at the Bush Pub near Melkbosstrand.
