Excellent thread !!!!
Good work there  :thumleft:
Your screen not too high maybe ?
That pic of the "dakar" DRZ screen high looks brilliant. Compliments on your excellent work bud  :o

Yes it could be too high by an inch or two. I'll trim it down if needed, once its in use .

please tell me more about this polistone stuff. a google search didnt help much - got some strange results!  :patch:

is it quite rigid like perspex/polycarb or is it more "floppy"?  :mwink:

you say it can be bent at room temp - without cracking?

on which side do you make the 1mm deep cut? i would imagine on the outside, but doesnt that look bad?

does it come in various colours and do you get it in translucent?

thanx!  :thumleft:

Template for one half of full fairing.

Polistone is a trade-name for polypropylene and/or polyethylene PP and PE which is sold by:
 http://www.maizey.co.za/engineering

the 1mm scour is to give a straight bend. I have had success with a small blow-torch to heat bend the PP but it's difficult over long lengths.

The stuff is cheap, R70 for 600x600mm, so get a piece and play around with it. I'm guessing this is what Hyde plastics use for most of their protective items which they heat with hot air guns for some applications.

Koste is so 'n relatiewe begrip.

This saddle works well for me.  :thumleft:
Use the current saddle base, just pop out the staples in the current cover and remove cover and foam. Put it aside for later when you sell...
This saddle cover & foam cost R250. Its nice and low for me as well for technical stuff which I do.
I will probably replace the foam in mine, not good enough & maybe a bit thin. But it works well  :mwink:

I like the std seat, but I'm as skinny as the padding on the seat so we find each other nicely. I have blue gripper seat cover coming via e-bay. Might mod my seat a little like this:
