Pack Dog
The August trial was set on this past rainy sunday.
This farm is behind the Diemersfontein wine farm & is located up the valley, with a Pine forest hanging from the one side & a bluegum forest on the other side. Some nice water sections, due to the rainfall.
This venue is amazing, with a variety of sections of: river, rock, forest & streams
To the left of the barnyard is the parking lot, with a section right here on the rocks:
Another section under the trees, over the rocks & through the low vee in the tree:
Some nice sections in the forest, with the master class starting of on a massive rockface climb, ertzberg style...
With some nice camber turns on the loose forest floor & over some slanted logs.
The river section, that rides upstream & crosses again, ending in a steep sandy embankment climb.
Master class, is doing some steep, tree hugging turns, back down over the stream.
The next section has experts & master class enter this section down this cobbled overflow stream...
Looking forward to the trials this Sunday, with very nice sections set for all categories.
The venue is spectator friendly, with the sections grouped together, some at the parking lot, some up the hill & the other in the river valley below.
If you have a trials bike, come ride! The clubman sections are easy, with no big obstacles or anything major (if you ride a bike off road, you should be able to ride these sections). The expert class has some nice challenges & the master class has big stuff. There's no obligation to finish either. A nice bunch of people, riding for themselves & for the fun of it :ricky:
Event starts at 10, with a slow lap, ending around 1 pm after 4 laps. (Riders pay R50 to farmer)
