Hi all,
Pics to follow.
Just came in through my front door, three hours later than intended.
Reason:
Some nitwit of a heavy-duty, articulated truck decided to attempt the Swartberg Pass from the Oudtshoorn side. Promptly jack-knifed the truck across a corner, just before Witdraai from the Oudtshoorn side.
I think it's going to take a couple of days to clear it all... Meantime, approach Die Hel from the Prince Albert side, but unless you're curious don't go down toward Oudtshoorn...
I was apparently first on the Pass this morning from the Prince Albert side, no signs warning of access being blocked. Tootled down the far side, the saw this truck and trailer blocking the way. Made my way back and informed the authorities.
If you are thinking of heading that way, call the Oudtshoorn traffic department first to check if it's open.
Keep the sticky black bits on the bottom!
