Returning from the Karoo trip saw 162000 pops up on the speedo.
Since then it is on 163000 Km but no pic.
We are away again this weekend so will see what pops up next.

Geez I wish I could spend as much time on trips as you can. Mine just ticked over to 169000, but I suspect you will be overtaking me very soon.  :thumleft:

Thinking about the Ceres trip coming up in October makes me once again satisfied with the GS.A.
It will be doing what it is designed to do and that is a dirt road touring bike taking the load easily to places that you want to see and would
not bother to go to in a car.
We are a bunch of about 10 bikes now and so varied in our backgrounds of work but single in our purpose to ride dirt.
Time now spent untill we leave will be in servicing our bikes and preparing our coffee perculators and braai grids to perfection but to name a few.
And why you may ask?? Because we can.   8)

On the way home from work today the numbers tripped 164000 Km.
Day before the bike goes in for the fuel leak recall.
That sorted tomorrow and all good to go.

So. The deed is done and no more fuel spillage. Thanks BMW for sorting out the fault.
Was given a new 800 GS to use for the days commute. Really nice nippy bike for traffic commute.

The picture was taken between Perseverance & Despatch near PE in the Eastern Cape.
We are having some hot spots here in winter. When I leff home for work that morning it was 2.8 Degrees at 06h30am.

Never the less. we ride every oppertunity we get. Weekend is on its way and some planning to do.

Riding out on a trip to the Kouga Wilderness this weekend saw another number come up.So we march on with the BM
behaving well after  the fuel fix and a mod to the injector timing duration.
I leave a couple pics of the Kouga trip if you do not mind.

Chris. You phone your BM agent closest to you. You give them you bike VIN number and ask if there are any recalls on it. The recall
at he the present that is being fixed is the fuel pump and housing on the GS 1200 models.
I am not sure from what year but it has beem done here in PE and many other centers in SA.
This is done at no cost to the owner and sorts the feul leaks on the connectors to the pump by replacing the parts.

Hopre to see you in October when we pass by your possie.

Hey Kev,

Thanks for notiing that small point. As you know me service is a priority and has been done but have not conncted
the GS911 up to it and reset the service interval. Will do that at on the the next service.
Too busy riding and then prepping for the next and riding and prepping for the next and so on.
Baviaans is calling in two weekends time so what now??
Feel free to remind me to wash my bike also.  ;) that will not happen as I do not park it in a glass box every night.
I actually ride it. You know??  Two wheels, balance and punch the happy button and go forward.  ;D
Those glas kas bikers should try it some time.  8)

Hey, I know you ride so enjoy!  ;)
