Came across this juvenile Spotted Bush Snake in my courtyard, not close to any trees and slightly trapped as it is a sunken area with very little vegetation, moved it to an area in my garden with plenty foliage

Probably after your geckos. Amazing climbing ability those little fellows.

There was a Mexican stand-off between these two and eventually the snake gave up trying to swallow the gecko.

A few from last year.

1) Namaqua Dwarf adder (Bitis Schneideri / Schneider's Adder ). Lagerberg, Southern Sperrgebiet, Namibia. They are quite rare and only occur in a small area on the west cost between Luderitz and Hondeklipbaai.

4) Blinde slang (Bibron's blind snake / Afrotyphlops bibronii), Klein Pella, Boesmanland. This was an odd bugger, I thought it was a massive earthworm or something until I took a closer look and saw it had scales. It was also incredibly difficult to get a decent photo as he was moving fast.

I've posted a number of pics on this thread, but now things are getting out of hand. We have too many snakes visiting and it's starting to get everyone jumpy around the house. At least 1 to 2 snakes a week. Most are just harmless house snakes and Natal water snakes, but last week I almost stepped on a puffy and now we have a full grown night adder living in the laundry. I cannot catch the guy. too much clutter. Any idear how I can get him to move along?

Daai een weet ek.  My oŽ is ook gewoonlik grondwaarts as ons daar rondloop, maar gelukkig sien ek nie altyd die slange nie.

We had an issue with Cape Cobras at work for years. There were mice that lived in the mole tunnels, and that attracted the snakes.

One guy popped a few mothballs in the holes, problem gone.
