Het vanoggend bokke gedip en toe ons in die huis instap toe lÍ die knaap in die eetkamer vir ons en wag. Jong Rinkhals.  Ek was net verlede week op die Koperasiestoep thread windgat genoeg om te sÍ ons het so min slange diť seisoen gesien toe sien ek Saterdag diť penkop se groot pa net buite die werf en toe vandag hyself.  Net jammer ek het 'n gaatjie in die vloer met die .22 geskiet.

Ek is nie 'n ou wat alles skiet wat 'n oog knip nie Heimer,  ook nie eens 'n slang nie want alles het sy plek.  Maar slange in die werf of innie huis werk nie vir my nie.  Pofadders kan mens nog met 'n stok veld toe dra - dit blaas en raas net erg. Maar geelslange en rinkhalse,  nee pappie.  Hy raak sommer noķ vir jou lekker kwaad.  En my braaitang is te kort om hom vas te gryp  :biggrin:

You are a pretty good shot with your .22

I once had to shoot a Geelslang in my 2IB's shoe cupboard. There was no option but to shoot the snake with one shot - without damaging the shoes.  Talk about stress!  :pot:  :imaposer:  Might have been easier to remove the snake with bare hands than to shoot a hole in the shoes

Ek's ook lief vir slange, maar nie lief genoeg om hulle in my huis te onthaal nie. 
Only Bikers understand why dogs love to stick their heads out car windows.

Last summer, woke up one morning to find a 1.4m Cape Cobra under our bed, bedroom door was closed, which meant he spent the night with us in the room  :eek:
Missus shot him with the windbuks, one shot, dead  :lol: Pity I dont have a photo, was a little bit freaked out at the time.
