Clearly you are so bang of that snake you couldnt hold still to focus the camera!
Look for a shooting star and see Lynda's trail and remember all the great places you shared with her,she will never forget what she shared with you and will show you that in every starry night .

So my neighbor called me the other day and asked me to come help with a snake in his bathroom. Very feisty, the little bugger bit me twice as I caught him, but he is still very small so no harm done.  He has eaten three mice already, but i need to release him. I cant just release him in the garden, people will kill him. Any suggestions so he has the best change to survive.

Beautiful snake that!

Phone the zoo, or just release it in the veld a distance away from houses. Wish I could keep it, but it's illegal to keep indigenous snakes.

Saved this little bugger from the swimming pool out Louis Trichardt way near the R523.
Being small [20cm ] i did not want to hurt it. but he manged to get a fang in me.
Pic's taken with cell phn, and sent to my brother [big time snake specialist ] for identification.
Me took a slow walk back to the house, ice'ed and elevated bite and waited for results.....

So What is the snake?

Jip! there is some name before that! Happened about  3years ago, lucky did'nt need doctor. Slight dizzeyness and warm feeling around puncture.
Oh i also washed the area well will waiting for my boet to answer, which was also the "right thing to do" apparentily.
Conclusion: a possible dry bite!

We live on a farm near roodeplaat dam. If you want to release the brown house snake here you are more than welcome. I could come pick it up depending where you are based.

Cool find. I dont know your background so I will say that not all burrowing snakes are harmless. Just be careful not to handle a stiletto snake, they can not be handled safely and could cause some damage. My old man made the mistake once, he said it was not fun and the pain was severe.

I have seen them a few times and always either just left them or if I had to move it I used a bucket and a broom to gently sweep it into it.
