Looks like african rock python....luislang vir die boere.

Must have ate something a few days ago as thats not their natural proportions.

That's a proper mamba....at 4.2m, its 20cm short of the record I think and very old as well.

Never nice to see an old man of the wild dead at the hands of man (I know it may be endangering lives and all that, just sad to see)

Here's a little one we saw on the recce for the West Coast Baja. Not far from Port Nolloth. I wonder what it is?

My first puffy found in the wild!! This was on the way to Fraserburg a while ago. It was crossing the road when I passed, but when I turned back to take pictures, it was zooming back into the veld with unseemly haste.

Found this specimen, about 60cm long, in the basement just now. Rather shy and it headed for the door as soon as it could. Any idea what it is?

Looks to me like a Yellow Sour Snake. You get Orange, green, red and even blue ones with that black head.... :pot: :laughing4:

Taken in isimangeliso. This dude was about 6 metres long. You're only seeing about half of it. Absolutely beautiful.

Max age is up to about 12 years it seems. Largest one ever is about 7.5m  :eek7:
