Beautiful snake.  :thumleft:

After kicking against the idea for years, we finally bought our eldest boy (11) a snake.
He has been snake-bedonnerd since he could talk. All reptiles actually. We call him Neil Reptiel.

So we went through the process and got a small baby Brown House Snake.
What a cool pet. Its growing at quite a pace. And it teaches the children a lot about caring for animals.

Will post a piccie or two over the weekend.

Good on you for doing that. My parents never gave in. I had to wait untill I had my own place and then I had to get it past my wife. Needless to say, when my son showed interest I let him buy a little corn snake with his own money.

went running in Burgundy estate cape town a couple of weeks ago while visiting my son. There is a lot of open areas between all the new development and I saw this moerse brown snake halflyf in a moles hole. It was about as thick as my wrist and thete was at least a meter sticking out of the hole. It was a molesnake but massive, havent seen such a big one ever in my life. I tried to pul it out but it dug in and I didnt want to hurt it. There were a couple of guys cutting the grass along the pavement and for my ammusement I called them to help me,  :lol8: I think the one guy run all they way back to Milnerton. I didnt have my phone so couldnt take a picture but this is a simular snake on colour. It made me wonder how we are impacting on their habitat as there sre so many new developments going up in that area. Have any capetonians encountered these snakes in their area? it was the olive colour with the yellow belly and not the brown darker variant.
