My first bike: 1956 James Cadet 150 cc 2ST bought for me in 1957. My first and last 2ST! It could do 80, but not much more even on a downhill. The forks would bend or break at the first sign of a bump or depression. Villiers engine very reliable. Took me and a pal to Middleburg from Pta in the winter (and back) on its longest trip.

But it gave me freedom.

Ek was Std. 5 toe kry ek n nuwe RM80.
Daar was ons redelik veilig.

1978, in UK Casal K190 (50cc) like this but in gold, looked like shit but went like a bomb. It would beat any of the major brands hands down.
That was the road bike.

To be honest, I don't have pictures of me and my first bike. That was years ago before colour photography was invented.  :lol8:

And the bike was what make? Quite novel back then to have a bikini fairing!  Not a Garelli by any chance?

Sorry, Itom Competizione. The colour scheme was bright yellow, white frame & brown suede seat, - all original - lol

Sal hom graag wil terug koop.
