This is where I'm planning on doing the live reporting of the "Wrong Way Round" trip this weekend - done by the Vaalies under the "Dirt To Lydenburg" thread.

Just starting cause it easier to type with the keyboard, and I don't wanna sukkel with the cellphone keypad tomorrow morning.

You appear to be in the middle lane...
Are you taking pics, logging on and posting whilst riding your bike?

That's the exact spot where I was almost taken out by a canopy which blew off the back of a bakkie. Love the view from there though, especially at night. I once had my UNO Fire at 175km/h down that hill....

I am only slightly concerned in using the term "Asylum" just to be "proper" as was discussed in terms of the stickers / logo, the ADV site uses the term "Welcome to the Asylum". As good SA boys we may be somewhat "not over policed" but I hate to intrude on those boys "personna" maybe I am oversensitive, I think I need a beer.

  You're making me feel guilty now (probably because I am).

I agree, let the guys do their report in their space, and chirp shit afterwards.

I joined the bunch for the first 260km to Dullstroom.

Really nice route, 80% could have been dirt, a nice pass, a nice tricky decent over some small rocks, and a hidden bump that had some doing handstands on the handlebars and others checking thier suspension. ;o)
Hey these trailies land hard.

Thanks for leading this Leo, you went so fast it left me riding second dust free.    My top was 137kph , dont want to think what you got on the dirt.

Here is a group shot before they set off to Lydenburg to go explore some roads.

I then hit the slab to get home as quick as possible, and thanks Ufudo, the first tollgate did have a short boom on the left, the second had a slipway on the left blocked only with cones.
