True, but it is also apparent that some like the LOOKS and some do not, almost like not all people liking a specific artists work.
Just because you say it LOOKS ugly does not make it ugly for everyone...

Personally I always thought one day when my kids leave school, I will get a 1200 GS for me and the missus to do long tar trips around the country. Seems I will have have lots of options by that time. 

(It is only another 17 years to go) :lol8:

Right now, I won't touch any of these fat ladies.

Cannot wait to see them in the fle... metal, and THEN make a better call, but right now I really like the look of the new GS! Also looking forward to see how they modify it to bring us the new Adventure, aah yeah!

I remember thinking the same thing with the 1200 Gs's release back in 2004 (can you believe nearly a decade!!) and how the 1150 is just a thing of beauty ("in my opinion") but then gradually I got used to the new look GS and now I think a GS ADV is the perfect bike in the looks dept, again my opinion, same thing with every new model Hilux bakkie! thus for now I agree but in a few years time I'm sure I'll feel different and probably a good number of fellow dogs.  :biggrin:

I just dont trust a mag wheel on a bike. Im not a technical expert but my gut just says mag wheels on a bike is wrong. Im a old fashioned spoke wheel man. I can see me hitting a hard rock or something and that mag joint breaking. Im not sure if its possible but when you on a bike in teh middle of nowhere and your all alone those are the types of ideas that I know will be creeping into my bloody head.

Voice 1: Fegen, dont trust the mag wheels Voice 2: Dont worry Fegen, you van trust the mag wheels, they made by BMW Voice 1: Dont listen to voice 2, the mag wheels are gong to crack and break and your going to fall on your arse and be stuck out in in teh middle of nowhere - all alone. Voice 2: Shit wheres the water bottle...

The GS Adventure is going to be even more awesome than the 1200GS.  Bring it on.

Only reason why you guys are bitching about heavy bike are because you are too weak to pick them up.  It takes a man to ride the thing.
