Good news thanks Goose . :thumleft:

Listen I have to just add that his mom told me that she's amazed at the people offering support - most being total strangers!
Dirk has had an amazing positive response to the people - especially the Wilddogs and their support. She mentioned he's been engrossed in the Ride Reports and it seems we have awakened a fire in him that will hopefully have a really great effect on him.

All I can say is thanks to all you wonderful people...... strangers in a way... but what a fantastic group indeed!   :thumleft:

Hi Goose I will pop in when he arrives home, glad to hear it is done & dusted. At last road to recovery can start. I think woofles needs something with things that stick out sideways like an R80 g/s.  :pot: :peepwall: :ricky:
if u cant be a good example be a great warning to others

being a government hospital guess what the meds where.... panado's?!
anyway on something better and the pain is the least of my worries!!

THE CRAMPING during stretches and what not... thats aina!! now this is time for one of those, err..bob marley cigies!
joking goose.. ive actually stopped smoking cigs as the docs said it would help speed up recovery, anything to help this go by faster!!

any one got advice for sleeping tips? i cant seem to find a comfy way to sleep without the cramping getting worse each time...

Ouch that sounds sore, good luck Woofles :o. Good luck !
When I broke my ribs I couldn't lie down for 3 weeks , had to sit and try and sleep , pain was awful . But it all heals in the end.

And you can use this time contstructively , you can use the time to plan how you want to live your life ,and what you don't want in your life.  :thumleft: And no to Bob Marley ciggies or cookies   :deal:

Yip did the same.... You get used to sleeping on your back after a while, and even with a brace or whatever on, but then the time passes and when you are able to start sleeping on your side again it is SUCH a pleasure!!! In any event if you cant sleep just try and relax your mind. As time goes on, try using a pillow under or between yor legs. Dont worry the time does pass quite quickly in the end - even if it feels like a drag at first. I also stoped the smoking to help the healing go quicker.
If in doubt, flat out.
