Took the cool box and experienced a wonderful sunset with cold Tafels and a cigar.

He missed and I still have my nose

Courtesy from Grizz: In this day and age religion is often frowned upon, but I have met some of the most amazing people from various religions over time.
From Buddhists to Sikhs, through Muslims and Christians and everything in between, there are many good people out there and if you do not allow yourself to be swayed by petulant religious opinion, the world is an awesome place with the odd idiot in between trying to make it rubbish for others.

We did got a second hand tyre in Keetmanshoop, gut it was narrower than what is required, we still did try though but in the end to no avail and it was tar to Windhoek. Oh well with a back-up vehicle we stopped for ample liquid breaks

Leaving Keemans Corndog and Cobber were on the bikes and I chased them down to be stopped about 30kms outside Keetmans for speeding 135km/h I pleaded guilty but said I was chasing the bikers to let them know to drive slow because of the tyre,,, it worked and I was let go.

We stopped near Gibeon at this cemetry and I think it is from WW1

Then in Mariental I took the opportunity to go say a last farewell to my dad and and stepdad, both of which are buried in Mariental, my birthplace.

Then it was tar till Windhoek where we stayed in the Safari Lodge.

When there was an opportunity for dirt the lads took it even next to the road....

The obligatory stop at the Tropic of Capricorn

Off to Wabi Lodge in the Waterberg Plateau outside of Otjiwarongo via the back roads to the east and through Okakarara where we only got leaded fuel for unleaded vehicles....
where water in the wild is a novelty for desert rats like us...
