It all started when we departed from Dubai.

When we arrived in CT it was a marvelous early spring day. That evening we spend some time at Ferrymans and later met up with Rynet to take delivery of the pangas. Some of the photos I cannot even remember being taken.

The next morning I went to pick up the bakkie from Thrifty just around the corner from the Waterfront, however getting there I was told the bakkie is at the airport, WTF? Ok so off to the airport to get it done, I took it in my stride as I was dealing with morning-after-the-night-before syndrome. Got the bakkie and shot back to the hotel, woke up the others went for breakfast and got my stretcher from Pistonpete before dashing off to get the bikes in Somerset West. This was what the weather was like!

Luckily I was in the bakkie! Hehehe. A quick dash to Outdoor warehouse to buy a Namibian map and was subjected to the staff of WOA Somerset West comments to buy some rain gear. We did not, who is afraid of a little rain?

At Piketberg the lads could not take it anymore and I booked our self in at my cousin’s house, thanks Andre!

We manage to get the clothes dry during the night and early the next morning we were off to Bitterfontein to hang a right in the direction of Pofadder. Oh after the decision to get the bakkie instead of a bike, we decided to rotate every day so all get a chance to be on the bikes.

No this whole RR video and pics have gone AWOL.

Have to fix over the weekend.

I can see video but some images aren't showing.

If you have a Gmail account, you can upload your photo's to Google Photos (photos.google.com), create an album and share the album. Click on each photo in the album to enlarge it, right-click to open the context menu, and select "Copy Image Address", and paste this URL between your image tags. Free and easy.

Cool stuff!

Yes, the first video plays fine in my Safari browser, with sound.

Aren't your photo's sorted already?
1. In the album, click the three vertical dots - if you hover over, it says "More options".
2. Select "Edit album". The navigation bar becomes a blue bar with three white icons on the right, and a tick mark on the left.
3. Select the right most icon, an up and down arrow.
4. Select the sorting option you want: Oldest first, Newest first or Recently added.
5. Click the tick mark on the left to apply your selection.

If you add any new photo's, they'll be sorted, so you only have to set this once.

The road was wet from the previous day’s rain and so nice to ride on we were having a blast.

Just before Pofadder we were taking a break and having a cold one when we noticed the rear tyre of one of the bikes looked like this.

Because it’s a weekend we decided to stick to the schedule and to get to Keetmanshoop and get a tyre there. I gave myself a slim chance of that realizing.

We stayed in the Pofadder Hotel and had 1 of the best steaks in long while.

The next morning we sat of to Onseepkans and soon we were on the bridge for Co88er and Corndog’s first ever visit to Namibia.

From Onseepkans we head towards Warmbad and then Karasburg.

The plan was to do as much as possible dirt riding, but due to the state of the tyre, choose to stick to the tar for Keetmanshoop.

We stayed at the Quiver tree Forrest Rest camp and had the opportunity to get close to the Cheetah. We were allowed inside the encampment while they were feeding and when I looked around Co88er and Corndog were nowhere to be seen! They were still standing outside the fence!
