I like the idea of online shopping. We dont have banks in our little town and when I do go into town i dont like standing in banks waiting for stupid people who dont know how the bank system works.EFT much easier and money in your account straight away.

I've been investigating for a while now, and have built a site recently. Ive tried them all and by far the best backend to use is Magenta. The are many systems on the market but this one it the tits.

I could explain why but I don't need to just go look, I've uploaded the backend to www.truthburn.com. go check it there.

The main reason I use this backend is because of the stock system. I can pull warehouse stock figures from all over the world with this one. Amazing. It can pull stock figures automatically from multiple warehouses and when stock is not available locally it will order from the international warehouse.

Pm if you need any more info.

agree - do you use the community version?  is it difficult to run?  iow need a dev degree?  payment plug-ins for SA?

http://www.magentocommerce.com/product/community-edition

Magento is a bit more advanced. If you're looking for an easier (but limited) platform, rather use something like ZenCart.

We build most of our eCommerce sites in Magento.

One of our latest additions is http://www.top12winesstore.com/  :thumleft:

Planning to re-introduce a better functioning WD shop and sourcing better and cheaper products

planning to run a fully fledged online shop with capable distribution capabilities centrally. Will still cater for wholesale stock to be carried by some of our vendors. Got a dedicated person to look after this now.  She is real close to where I stay in centurion.

need advice from you okes ito:

1. Best online ordering and payment system - willing to buy.  May need someone to set it up or outsource it completely. Need to cater for different types of payment methods
2. Need a signage coy to do all our stickers - old designs and new ones - incl our reflective paws
3. Need vendors to supply MX style branded riding shirts
4. We are ok with t-shirts, caps, beanies and buffs - vendor is good.  Will bring out a different WD t-shirt each year. will work on a model to include our vendors logos ito sponsorship on the shirts
5. Need your advice on what you would like to get branded from the shop.  What WD items would you want us to carry

Preferable if the suppliers are in the Centurion area, or bigger J0-burg area its easier to co-ordinate

What do you think?

Hi Kilroy

I've been trying to access WD products to RE-SELL for the past few months, since on 01st December I opened a Retail space ABOVE Yamaha in Cape Town (Flying Brick Motorcycle Accessories, Upstairs at Yamaha, 36 Marine Drive, Paarden Eiland), and I have the space/enthusiasm and hours to stock and sell WD Merchandise (stickers, clothing, etc).

I am a WD vendor, and am already stocking BMW Club Hi-Viz jackets and Tee's, so keen to find out if I can sell WD stuff from a Bricks 'n Mortar store...

Cheers
Chris

Guys, I read that the stickers and merchandise is being sold to raise money for the forum/site.
So why is it so difficult to get merchandise!!!
!
I'm in Durban and I'm willing to distribute the stuff this side. It will give me a good opportunity to meet the dogs around KZN
Please tell me who to phone, e-mail, pm or send a post card to. Come on man  :dousing:

Got a paw already from Chris at Flying Brick, he had all kinds available.
Just thought I would mention it coz loads of okes ask where to get stickers.
DO NOT FOLLOW WHERE THE PATH MAY LEAD.
GO INSTEAD WHERE THERE IS NO PATH AND LEAVE A TRAIL.

Are their copyright infringements if you get a "PAW" tattoo?
Does anyone have one?

Just curious.

If there is a copyright infringement it is not from Wild Dogs, maybe WWF, I have seen paw tattoos before but mostly from overweight housewives who love their dogs or cats a lot.
