Tip on mirrors for street legal DRZ's
« on: October 20, 2012, 08:47:23 pm »
Had cause to change the DRZ mirrors recently and put on the motrix aftermarket ones.  What a pile of shite. The mirrors are flat and it's like looking through a keyhole.  In traffic very dangerous - other vehicles can creep up without you seeing them.

Then came across a set of standard Moto-Mia round mirrors that fit the DRZ. A little smaller, but great convex mirrors that you can see the landscape in.  And at R150 a set......

I know of another DRZ that was fitted with Big Boy scooter mirrors. Similar price. Big smiles.
I crash test all of my safety gear. Do you?

My old ones?

They were great, I did how ever fill the mirrors with rapid expanding foam to get rid of a vibration that developed after a few weeks @ around 4200 rpm.

After that no complaints, also R100 or R150 a set

end result was sexy enough
