I agree give a couple of options.
I prefer CC but have used PayPal as well. Last time I tried to use Paypal in SA it was a prohibitively expensive deal on transaction costs (haven't checked if it was only for the site or a general rule)

Paypal - I've been using it constantly!

1st - It's safe as houses - you never have to enter your bank or card details for payment on any sites............
2nd - Paypal have a security/guarantee system. In other words if you purchase something and not happy with it, or something goes sour - Paypal will investigate on your behalf and get you a refund... all with a basic click of a button. No fighting etc.... THEY sort it!

Cannot recommend it enough!

I do however believe that in SA there is a down-side in the FNB runs the backbone for Paypal......... others might know more!
In the UK - I can leave as much or as little funds in my PP account. No time limit and 99% of the transactions are free (depends on how you suggest the payment)..... I was told that in SA - "the law/FNB/Reserve bank" want you to transfer the funds back into your normal bank account after a limited time period........  :eek7:  so they can charge you fees..? ............. just need to check this.

Hein

You really need to offer card or paypal. From an admin point of view, EFT is a nightmare for everyone involved, including your admin. Paypal and card is automated with your stock, you get an order, pack it up and voila. Real time. No back orders etc.

EFT you are going to be spending your life checking stock, looking for payments, clearing up confusions, emailing back and forth and generally being a d@@s.

Make it easy on yourselves.

Can even offer WMD by credit card. Need some secure warehousing though.

I voted for the credit card as you only allowed for one vote. I do however support the feeling that you must allow for more options. I haven't used PayPal before and can therefore not comment. CC and EFT are quite safe although I do not know what is required from the merchant's side to administer these payment options.

Paypal, EFT and CC should be offered as a minimum.

This will cater for the majority of your customers. You need to check on the FT process though to avoid the admin surrounding it though.
Paypal could work out too expensive SA to SA, but is fantastic for international business.

My way of doing business is usually sending you a email with what I want, you sending me a email back with prices, a total on all items and reference number for eft. So I eft my money with the ref number, you pull the ref number and gimme what I want. In that way I can sue your ass if I dont get my stuff that I want, because I got the whole paper trail to you recieving your money for listed goods and what Im suppose to get. Don't trust all the other funny stuff.
