October 20 "The colors of autumn, Söderåsen National Park"

Yesterday the newspapers in southern Sweden gave even a front-page news rare these days: there will be a "supermeteo" for the weekend! And then what better opportunity to take advantage of it and get a nice ride in motion between the colors of autumn. At 08.30 the thermometer was already 14 degrees! A slight haze makes the fascinating landscape along the 40 road that leads me near Eslöv. My first stop will be a visit to the church of Västra Sallerup east of the center of Eslöv. The church dates back to the thirteenth century. It contains beautiful frescoes dating back to the early years of the church and are a major attraction because they are the oldest in the region I Skane. Beautiful the famous fresco of Queen Margrethe I, which stands out among the many that cover the vault of the church and has been used on a Danish stamp. The church also contains an ancient pulpit designed by the famous master carpenter Jakob Kremberg. After the visit, I headed north about 30 km to reach through the breathtaking views in the heart of Söderåsen National Park one of the many national parks in Sweden. Autumn colors welcome me in all their glory. Parking the bike near the visitor center and after arranging everything you need for a long walk in the park I started through the yellow trail of about 4.5 km. Rest literally speechless before the show reflected the extraordinary colors of the forest on the calm waters of the lake. A riot of yellow, orange, green and brown in infinite shades. Along the river that flows into the lake I walk about 2.5 km immersed in silence and extraordinary beauty of this place. A multitude of fungi, plants and trees pass before my eyes. The sun begins to be higher and illuminated with a magical light the hidden corners of the forest. Dating from the path that climbs up to the rocky ridge which offers a breathtaking view of the lake, the forest and a large part of the park. It is very hot and it feels! On a rocky ridge overlooking the lake I'll take a long break and a picnic outdoors. The icing on the cake a cup of coffee that I brought with me into the thermos. How wonderful. I start to go down to the lake to get to the parking lot. From here the shooting motion, through a wonderful road that leads to another near the rocky ridge. Lots of bikers. After a chat and I finished the coffee division north to return to the house, bordering the park. The scenery is wonderful and along the way I stop near a field, intrigued by a herd of bulls and cows of a very special breed. Other people like me will stop to observe these beautiful specimens, but unfortunately no one knows what it is.
