Just reading a thread on the consequences when coming off and being of age (say beyond 40). I know this is mostly common knowledge, but still for those who don't know, take calcium, magnesium, Vit D3 supplements every day to keep your bone density as it should be. Glucosamine is also good for the tendons, so it possibly doesn't snap as quickly as it can.

Strong bones might be the difference in breaking bones and getting away with a bruise.

Weight-training is also very good to keep your bone density high, strong bones. So, for those older than 40 that's into proper DS riding, go to the gym, keep fit but also do weight training (bench press, barbells, squats, etc), and take supplements to keep your bone density high, and tendons elastic. Every little bit helps...be safe out there
