Pack Dog
After having been deprived of riding for about 8 weeks due to a toe operation, I managed to take a quick ride through the Northern Freestate today. Here are just a few pics:
Beautiful stop somewhere before Parys
This lady was about to give birth. The calve's hooves started to stick out, but when I disturbed he, she pulled the calve back again. I waited a few moments, and realised I should move on and let nature do it's thing
One of my favourite stop-overs is this little dam in the Renoster river, roughly between Vredefort and Viljoenskroon
Not far from there is a charcoal-making operation. It would seem they are using blue-gum trees only, which I guess is a good thing. None of the 10 furnaces were operating today.
Without a GPS one would be a bit lost nowadays
Parys were having their Domefest today. On my way back I stopped at the airfield
Nice day, 400km's and I feel as if something that was wrong became right
