Akraprovic - (not sure about R6000, might be more)

Penta - R1600 (From last ad I saw in a magazine)

FMF Q2 - R3000 (This is the one I have on my 640, but you have to import it yourself)

There's also the KTM SXC competition silencer - Not sure on the price, probably between R3000 and R4000

Supertrapp IDS2 Race series - R2500 (Import only)

Kry 'n FCR 41 carb.
PM my dalk kan ek help.

The age old debate whether a aftermarket pipe is worth the money.

If money is not an issue, sure go for it.

If money is an issue, rather look at spending it on other performance improvement where you will find better use for it.

If I had the choice between a 6k pipe or 6K worth of other mods to the bike, I would go for the other performance mods. Whatever it may be on the KTM640. I would have thought is has more than enough power as is?

Without stealing the thread or opening a can of worms(hopefully)how does the 640 and KLR actually compare performance wise?i have never had the opportunity to ride one or with one

I did a search for HP claims on both bikes and it seems the KTM makes quite a bit more power than the KLR. That??s is in stock form. After mods, no idea.

See here for a nice comparison of the 650 range bikes.

Voodoo you say you have the FMF Q2, is it worth spending the money? Does it improve performance? On the website they only show pypes up to the 525, please help with the partnumber if at all possible. Will this pype fit on the left hand side? I would like to get a new pype for my 640 but the prices seem to be a bit heavy. You can get a Leo Vince from the states for $583, yet the Proaction price is R6700.

The Acrapovic is a KTM approved unit, but it is plain ugly compared to the FMF.

Congo, got mine from ktm-parts (Same link SuperJuice posted) real happy with the pipe! It can be nice an quiet with the spark arrestor in place, or absolutely boisterous with it removed, performance wise, it's much more responsive and free-revving, don't have actual figures though, but did put the stock pipe back on just for comparison and it felt like it was choking!
