Eisbein, maybe you can hook a trailer behind the GS and tow the 250 to a nice trail...  :-X

Isn't it just amazing how things move on this forum. In the past a lot of guys swore they could do everything with th big bikes (jump, rocks, etc).

Now everyone's going smaller, or so it seems.

Right tool for the right job i suppose...

I still love the GS, but I always wanted something to play with easily and now I also need a commuter.
Two birds, so to speak.

But there is something cool also about these smaller bikes...

congrats! seems like the interest in this class is growing ;)

It's called evolution... or an upgrade if you like... ;D

At last a GS rider can go everywhere! (although the GS won't be on the trip ;))

Don't push it too far...
I have yet to ride with you where the GS can't go...

Yep - haven't been to Attakwas PASS yet... Also not the 5/5 4x4 trail at Eagle Falls. Now, at last, you have a bike that can go with!

Hey Eish, seems as if we will have to "smeer die boude vet" nĂª?

Congrats Eisbein  ;)

That is a sweet looking scoot!

Is that an official Yamaha import or a "grey" import?

Many happy miles  ;)

I must be honest; I know nothing of the TTR250

but from the pic I can say that it looks schweet. Its got a carrier, handguards, cross brace, cool headlight, etc.
except for a bigger tank, that bike looks like it's ready to go to Cairo

That's the cool thing about it, LS - it does over 40km/liter (internet specs) and its got a 17 liter tank !

Hulle praat nonsens, miskien as jy heeldag 50 km/h ry. Teen 80 km/h so 32 km/l, 100 kyk jy na 30 km/l. Nog steeds baie goed. Very nice bike ! Is there any storage behind the sidepanels ?

White CY Astra ?

So that was you ?

Was wondering about who the friendly chap was. I did wave back, but its good to know who it was.
Next time I'll chase you and say 'Hi' !

Well spotted...

:D ;D :D

Yip - Vicky was 'mos' involved in an accident a while ago (about a month), so I'm looking for a good used car for about (max) R45 000.
(Not a Tazz or Chico - that makes it difficult)

Anyone have me a bargain ?

:D ;D ;D

Grey import.
Share some engine parts (apparently) with the XT250.

Yamaha officially (and in their infinite wisdom) decided not to bring these bikes in ...

Cool, Nicki!
I really hope I find that bargain - and soon...
The amount of crap that people are willing to advertise as 'showroom condition' is astonishing.
