I am 100 % positive that I will be able to do a nice calm ride to Magaliesburg.  Unfortunately it will all be on tar and I will have a nice breakfast at the hotel there before coming back.

Anyone joining me?

I know it will be the last Sunday before the Bash (which I can't go to), but it is only for a few hours.

I tried to add the ride on the calendar, but I am sure some evel mod is blocking me.  ;D

It will be on 4/11/2007, the Sunday just before the Bash.

I have no idea what the weather will be like, but apart from thunderstorms there will not be much that will stop me from riding.  The baby went for full service, new tyres, chain and sprocket and she has been waiting patiently for 3 months for her mistress to get mobile again.

Hi everyone,  I am negotiating something special with a newbie on the forum.

He must just confirm some of the details with his better half and then we will come back to you.  This will hopefully include a lunch/brunch.  He "aplogised" for a 4km dirtride (which I can walk if neccesary) to get to the destination.    :o  The sick, lame and lazy can stop there and party with me OR the guy can take those willing for a good dirtride.  So the old boys can go and have fun while we are sipping some tea or cold ones.

Will come back as soon as I have some more info.

If this comes off it is going to be great fun.

Bushbaby it will be nice meeting you too.   ;D

OK,

Here's the deal. For those who are interested in a rideabout, can we meet at the spar in Magalies at 7:30. I have posted the route below, its about 150km, 90% on dirt, we'll go over the Witwatersberg ridge about three times, and around some of the game farms etc in the Naauwpoort valley. We can then go back to my place at about 10 or 11am ish and meet up with Red and a group of people apparrently knows as 'the stragglers' . (www.dreamlodge.co.za for map or GPS 25 58'34.3"S 27 23'00.2"N). You can then either braai or I can arrange a catered breakfast. Please let me know the numbers for either, PM or email.

This ride will now be done with two groups.

One for the sick, lame and lazy and the BIG one on the nice dirt roads around Magalies, with a braai / lunch at DB's place near Magaliesburg.  The route is really looking good.

DB9 I'll be joining you at the Magalies Spar at 07:30.  Looking forward to the ride, looks like an enjoyable route you've mapped out.  NS are you and Tulip joining us as well or are you joining Red on the tar route from the Total One Stop on Krugerdorp Highway (between Sandton and Lanseria offramps).  Bushbaby and Kykdaar, would appreciate it if you could pm Red.

OK, So that is +- 10 for brunch. We'll be able to work around that. I hope the weather holds out. 100km of slimy mud will suck just a little bit. I look forward to meeting y'all.
