So, Jethro (our 5 year old son) has been asking us for quite a while now to have a sleepover at Aunty Melissa's house with Kendra. Micah (our 2 year old son) tagged along, so Shaz and I had the day to ourselves. We decided to go for a ride on the bikes.

A jersey dress and tights were not going to be suitable for the longer ride that we planned, so Shaz got out her jacket and jeans. She didn't want to go too far, so I planned a nice route through the sand and bush in Parklands, along the railway line, through the brickworks and quarry and past Zone7. I originally planned to do a bit of a gravel road loop just past Zone7, but it was marked with a big "NO ENTRY" sign, so we turned around and made our way to the West Coast Ostrich farm for a coffee. Their electricity was off, so we had colddrinks and chips instead.

Shaz did an excellent job of managing her bike offroad in the sand for her first real ride. Well done Shaz, I'm very proud of you! We're gonna go places!
